Business Health Check · £195
Find out what’s actually costing you work.
Most people know something isn’t right. Enquiries go quiet, calls get missed, an evening a week disappears into admin. I work out which of those is really losing you money, and what the smallest fix is, before anything gets built.
£195. A written report within 3 working days. Taken off the price of any work from £500 up that you go ahead with within 60 days.
- Written report within 3 working days
- Money back if I find nothing
- You deal with me, not a sales team
What I look at
Everything between someone deciding they need you and you getting paid. I go through it the way your customers do, because that’s where the problems show up.
- How work reaches you: website, phone, Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp and email
- What happens when someone tries to book or ask for a quote, done the way a customer would do it
- Your Google listing, and whether people can find you in the first place
- How quickly replies go out, and what happens in the evenings and at weekends
- Where enquiries end up once they arrive, and which ones get forgotten
- The admin you do by hand every week
Can people find you?
Before anyone can enquire, they have to find you. So I look for the business the way a stranger would, with nothing but what you do and the town you're in.
- Google
I search for what you do in your town and note who comes up first, and where you are, if you're there at all.
- Maps
The same search on Google Maps, where a lot of people pick a local business from the three shown at the top.
- AI assistants
I ask ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity who they'd recommend for it near you, and what they say about you if they know you.
- Your listing
Your Google Business Profile: hours, photos, categories, reviews, and whether the reviews get answered.
- Your details
Whether your name, address and phone number match on your site, your listing and the directories that copy them.
- Your site
Whether it says plainly what you do and where, in a way search engines and assistants can actually read.
You get screenshots of what comes up, so you see it the way a customer does. If you're already easy to find, the report says so and moves on. If you’re not, fixing it is usually the Get found work, £395 as a fixed price.
What you get
A short written report in plain English. No jargon, no slide deck. It’s yours to keep whatever you decide to do next.
- 01
What happens now
The route a customer actually takes to reach you, written out step by step, including the parts that don't work.
- 02
Where it breaks
Every point where an enquiry, a booking or an hour of your week goes missing, with where I found it.
- 03
What each one costs you
A rough number against each problem, in lost jobs or lost hours, so you can see which ones matter.
- 04
What I'd fix first
The fixes in order, each with a fixed price and a date. The smallest thing that works goes at the top.
- 05
What not to bother with
The things that look like problems and aren't worth your money. Usually the list people find most useful.
Then fifteen minutes on the phone to go through it, or by email if you’d rather, so nothing in it is left for you to decode on your own.
Read two diagnoses I’ve written up →You might not need anything built
Because you’re paying for the check, I’ve got no reason to sell you a build you don’t need. Sometimes the fix is a setting in something you already pay for, a form that needs connecting, or calls that need forwarding after five. If that’s the answer, that’s what the report says.
“I was honestly shocked that he had managed to turn all those messy ideas into something so clear in such a short space of time.”
How it works
- 01
Tell me about the business
A short form, about three minutes, so I know what's going wrong before I start.
- 02
Pay
£195 online, straight after the form. It takes about a minute.
- 03
I go through it
A 30 minute call if you want one, then I follow the same route your customers take and write down where it breaks.
- 04
You get the report
Within 3 working days, then a quick call or an email to go through it, whichever you prefer.
If I find nothing worth fixing
You get your £195 back. To be clear about what that means: the report has to name at least one specific problem, show you where I found it, and put a fixed price on fixing it. If it doesn't, tell me within 14 days of getting it and I'll refund you in full.
That's a promise about the report, not about whether you decide to act on it. What you do next is up to you. The full wording is in the terms.
Questions
Is this just a sales call with a price on it?
No. You get a written report that's yours to keep whether or not you ever work with me. If you go ahead with work of £500 or more within 60 days, the £195 comes off the price. That's the only link between the two.
Why is there a form before the payment?
So I know which business I'm looking at and what's going wrong before we speak, rather than asking you for it later. It takes about three minutes, and nothing is charged until you reach the payment page.
What if I already know what I want built?
Then you probably don't need this. Tell me what you want on the start page and I'll quote it directly.
Do you need logins or access to my systems?
Not usually. Most of it I can see from the outside, the same way a customer would. If something sits behind a login, like your booking software, I'll ask, and it's your choice whether to show me.
Will you check whether ChatGPT recommends me?
Yes. I ask ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity who they'd recommend for what you do near you, and screenshot what they say. Their answers change from one day to the next, so treat it as a snapshot rather than a score, but it shows whether they know you exist.
What kind of business is this for?
Any business where work starts with someone getting in touch: trades, garages, salons, studios, clinics, letting agents. If customers have to enquire or book before they pay you, there is usually something to find.
Rather ask first?
Tell me what the business does and what feels like it’s going wrong. However you’d describe it is fine.
I reply to every enquiry within one working day. Or email david@travinyx.com.
